“The Burning of Kingston” – Graffiti Battle (NYC)

This one got me wishing I was in the Big Apple, and sounds like a nice event. It is the first time that a legal graffiti battle will take place using an actual New York city subway car. The event is being called “The Burning of Kingston“ and has been organized by the Trolley Museum of New York in Kingston, an NYC train museum togethor with MASS APPEAL and Redbull.

The Burning of Kingston – will be an all day event, including a host of big name Graffiti writers including COPE2, T-KID, CES, DOVES, RIBS, DERO, BIO, DOC TC-5, REVOLT, DMOTE and YES2.

For further details and information about the event, see the sponsors MASS APPEAL‘s website, which explains the rules of the competition, and details behind the name “The Burning of Kingston”

On the day there will be local vendors, live music and also a book signing by Henry Chalfant and Sacha Jenkins in support of their new book, Training Days: The Subway Artists Then and Now.

WHEN: September 13 from 12-6pm. FREE ENTRY!
