Galeria Virgilio – Tai Ogawa and Fernando Vilela

Opening today at Galeria Virgilio, which has previously shown the excellent exhibition by TRECO, are two solo shows. One by the artist Tai Ogawa, about whom I know very little, except that he is a Japanese artist, who produces pretty interesting and colorful drawings and water color and acrylic paintings (see right and on flyer), you can see examples of his work on his website. Also opening in the same gallery is the solo show by Fernando Vilela, who has two pieces of work in the New York MOMA collection,  entitled “O mar que attravessamos”, translates as ‘the sea that we crossed’, Fernando Vilela produced the children’s book Lampião & Lancelote, which is one of the nations most prized children’s books.
