As I am seeing the inappropriate fake snowflakes and icicles already adorning the buildings in Sao Paulo, then it can mean only one thing, the Christmas period is nearly upon us and that means buying presents and spending money. I thought it would be a good opportunity to look closer into the commercial world of Brazilian street art, and at the same time help those looking to buy presents for a street-art loving loved one. So I will be trying to showcase some ideas between now and the big day.
PART 1: MUDO x WHOLE
First up on the agenda is a series of new prints which are available on the WHOLE website. They have added a number of prints by Sao Paulo graffiti artists MUDO, with prices which start from a modest R$60.00 (above), and reach a price of R$600.00 ready framed (below right).
Also by MUDO are a couple of t-shirts which I featured on here earlier in the year and which are still available on the WHOLE website, and I have had my eye on for some time. Check out the post about the t-shirts here. They will set you back between R$98.00 and R$128.00 depending on which one you get, the pocket t-shirt is a limited edition and therefore more expensive.
If you don’t like shopping on-line, then all of the products on the WHOLE website are available from their shop downtown at the following address: Rua Álvares Penteado, 185 cj.401 (Near to São Bento metro station)
