Pixel show is the world’s third largest art and creativity events, which is in its tenth edition and continuously growing. This year there will be a number of different things happening: 132 different lectures about all sorts of different areas of creativity including from world famous artist Nychos and Workshops including Graffiti Workshops by Cranio (sold out) and Saci Loves You. The lectures and workshops are paid for, but there is plenty happening for free and open to the public.
There will be an Art and Creativity fair, which will have 45 different live painting sessions (done by artists including Nychos -11am Saturday, and Saci Loves You – 13h Sunday), and lots of stands from different companies involved in all things creative, and more than 40 magazines represented. Although the big lectures and talks are paid for, there are also a number of smaller talks – called Sharp Talks, which are also free, passes will be distributed an hour before they begin. Among the hosts of these smart talks are street art activist and man behind the pimp my carroça initiative – Mundano (15.30 Saturday), as well as several other interesting brands and companies and also a screening of the excellent film Cidade Cinza (Grey City). There are also some exhibitions running in parallel. For more details see the Pixel Show website, which has a complete breakdown of events.
The exhibition Futuro also runs parallel and is part of Pixel Show – read all about that here.
Below are some examples of work by three of the artists involved in the event, a Map of the Pixel Show space, and above is video teaser for the event.
Finally there will be a Pixel Show party, again which is free and it will feature art battle which I recently featured on the blog. This one is between illustrators and graffiti writers, and will feature Cranio on the spray-can team.. check out the flyer below.
