This looks like a good fun and interesting exhibition that is on tonight at SESC Pinheiros. If you’re a regular reader then you’ll already know my views on SESC and what a great place it is.
Anyway, today is the opening day of the group exhibition FOOD.
In part of the exhibition you can see and apparently consume Eduardo Srur’s installation called Supermercado (Supermarket). Together with 20 Brazilian and International artists they have put on a show which is a reflection upon consumption, diet and nature.
The exhibition includes installations, paintings, photographs, sculptures and videos from the following artists:
Anna Maria Maiolino (Brazil), Angelo Plessas (Greece), Barthélémy Toguo (Camaroon/France), Eduardo Srur (Brazil), Ernesto Neto (Brazil), Lenora de Barros (Brazil), Marina Abramovic (Serbia), Martand Khosla (India), Mircea Cantor (Romania/France), Miralda (Spain), Nari Ward (USA), Pipilotti Rist (Switzerland), Raghubir Singh (India), Shimabuko (Japan), Stefano Boccalinni (Italy) and Ymane Fakhir (Morocco).
This exhibition has already been shown in Switzerland and after SESC Pinheiros will be taken to Marseille in France. The exhibition was curated and conceived by Adelina von Fürstenberg, director of the NGO ART for The World.
