A new street art collective exhibition opens tomorrow at the Choque Cultural gallery in Vila Madalena. The exhibition entitled ‘De Dentro Para Fora’ (Inside Out) will showcase a number of artists: BijaRi, Daniel Melim, Mariana Martins, Matias Picón, Rafael Silveira, Sliks and Tec. The front of the gallery is currently receiving a new makeover by Rafael Sliks.
The exhibition is a dialogue between the gallery space and the public space of the street, and the artists have been invited to produce work which discusses the permeability of the gallery to the street, and from the street to the people.
The public opening on Sunday coincides with the gastronomy and culture event #eucomocultura (#ieatculture) aimed at celebrating the culture of Brazilian food. It is a project supported by Brazilian super chef Alex Atala, so expect proper Brazilian food I guess.
WHEN: Private Opening on Saturday, Jan 17th, 2015. Public Opening Sunday 18th January. Runs until March 7th, 2015. Gallery opens 11 – 18h Tuesday to Saturday.
WHERE: Galeria Choque Cultural, Rua Medeiros de Albuquerque – 250, Vila Madalena, Sao Paulo.
