BFI – Classic Kung Fu films on the big Screen – London

Drunken Master

I thought this was worth a mention, as it is not everyday that one can go and watch cult classic Kung Fu films on the big screen. Some of these films I must have watched countless times as a teenager and would love to watch them in the cinema. The month of July is dedicated to the Century of Chinese Cinema.. and of particular interest to me is the Swordsmen, Gangsters, and Ghosts section of the listings..which includes some classic films like Drunken Master, one of my all time favorite Kung Fu films, and as well as the classic and must see for any Wu-Tang fans..The 36th Chamber of Shaolin, which is described on the BFI website as “Arguably the greatest martial arts film of all time, and riotously entertaining.”

As well as these films there are a number of other excellent films to be seen.

For more information and further listings, check out the BFI website here.
