While Sao Paulo is hosting Pixel Show, their neighboring big city Rio de Janeiro will be hosting Arte Core – a festival of urban arts – graffiti/street art, music and skateboarding. The event is free, and open to the public. Arte Core will be held in the outdoor area of MAM-RJ (Museum of Modern Art).
The event will feature a host of street artists, with the following names already confirmed Combone, Marina Zumi, Flip, Atsuo Nakagawa, Fefe Talavera, Izolag, Bragga, Derlon, Titi Freak, Santa Crew, Flavio Samelo, Onio, Ipek , Marcelo Ment, Bruno Big, João Lelo, Meton, Marcelo Jou and Fleshbeck Crew. I have added some photos of some of the artists work below.
Interestingly there will also be a Sneaker Exhibition at the event, as well as Graffiti workshops, skateboard competitions, live painting and DJs and music playing throughout both days. Check out the taster video below. Looks like a fun weekend if you are in Rio.
